Grow Southern Highlands is proud to be collaborating with Wingecarribee Shire Council and Destination Sydney Surrounds South and the Southern Highlands Key Stakeholders Group on an Equine Industry Development Project which is an extension of the Agribusiness & Equine Industry Development Project. The project will identify the diversity and scale of the equine sector in the region. This event is an open invitation to any equine sector operator or stakeholder to attend and be informed about an Australian first Equine Survey to gather data and statistics. There will also be an overview of a proposed new annual event commencing in 2024, working title Southern Highlands Horse Festival, to run for approximately 2 weeks in late November and early December. The purpose of this Equine Industry Development event is to raise awareness of the significance of the equine sector and share the concept of hosting a Horse Festival and getting input of event ideas and Expressions Of Interest from any organisations, associations or operators keen to participate in what will be an action-packed exciting calendar of events. Please also save the date and RSVP for a second equine event on Tuesday 31 October.
